The Hong Kong International Arts and Antiques Fair (HKIAAF), to be staged from 4 to 7 October 2008 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, will mark a new milestone in the exciting and robust Hong Kong art scene. With a unique combination of both antiques and contemporary art, this is the first art fair in Hong Kong in more than a decade showcasing a wide range of collecting categories spanning from the Neolithic period through to the present day.
Over 80 galleries from Asia, Europe and America will participate in this premier art fair which is expected to capture enormous interest from collectors, connoisseurs and dealers from around the world. The fair is open to the general public from 11 am to 7 pm each day.

Shanghai Art Fair 2007, the 11th edition of the event scheduled to run from Nov. 15 thru. 19, has recently publicized the general organizing plan.
This year’s show continues to lead in Asia in its large scale. The total exhibition space reaches 22,000 sqm which consists of three main halls. Hall 1 and Hall 3, established with 215 booths, are set up only for art galleries from home and abroad. Meanwhile, top exhibition facilities are equipped including wooden panels (H: 3m) and new type of lightening systems. The exhibits focus on paintings, sculptures, prints, installations, etc. Hall 2 is set up for theme exhibition.
In this year’s Fair plan, the most noticeable measure is that no independent artists’ participation will be allowed. Besides, before the main fair opens, the organizing committee has curated SHANGHAI ART FAIR INTERNATIONAL CONTEMPORARY ART EXIHIBITION 2007 taking place in the venue of Shanghai Exhibition Center as series exhibition to warm up the art market.
