Born : 1947 in Geneva, Switzerland.
Lives actually in Geneva and Aghios Sillas, Greece.

1971-73 :Begins with press photography, cooperation with Gamma agency, Paris.
1973-78 :Studies Art History at Geneva University.
1976-86 :Lecturer in Photography at Geneva College.

Individual photographic research on contemporary landscape.
At present works on different series of landscapes and street portraits in Europe.

1984 : Associate’s Prize for Contempory Photography, Lausanne, Switzerland.

Photo-expressionisme
The arrival of the electronic image has profoundly changed the way we relate to photography.

The traditional photography of silver-based film considered in the beginning as an innovative technique and a tool for information, have merged now into domain of classical artistic techniques (e.g. engraving), its field of expression turning ever more towards poetic illustration.

The ease with which digital images can be manipulated has opened up new possibilities of expression and their impact has sent a shock wave rippling out and back through all the other visual arts.

In my work, I make deliberate use of this boomerang effect by returning to the field of conventional photography with the tools used for the manipulation of digital images.

I do life-size photoshop.

The torch is my paintbrush, the flash my spray, the bulb my pencil. And, like the mouse, I roam at will through the image, in the open air, under the stars.
